– June to October
– It is almost a nightmare to drive through Zozi La Pass in July – August especially when it is the rainy season but still definitely better than Rohtang Pass on Manali – Leh Highway which is more than hellish during monsoon season. Avoid Srinagar – Leh Highway close to Independence Day as there might be lots of bandhs and strikes in that time. Towards the end of August, the Amarnath Yatra is over and monsoon season ends, the conditions improve much more to travel on Srinagar – Leh Highway. September is the best time with regards to driving. It would be a little colder than what it is in July, August, but still not cold enough for snowing.

Other Info
